Artist Statement
I'm interested in stories and experiences related to women's identity, relationships, and emotions in today's world. I'm particularly fascinated by processes of change and how internal and external forces shape our personal and social worlds, as well as the changing role of women.
My paintings explore the delicate line between control and freedom. It's a space where I learn trust, acceptance, and gentleness, and also discover the natural gift of feminine creativity. When painting, I focus my observations on finding a balance between abstraction and presence, between gesture and structure. I believe that personal narrative can become a universal language—as a record of emotions and experiences, not simply an attempt to illustrate reality.
I draw inspiration from Eastern philosophy and mindfulness practices, appreciating cultural aspects, the rhythm of everyday life, imperfection, contradictions, and the authenticity of the moment. My curiosity about the world and people, combined with reflectiveness and the need to discover seemingly unexpected connections, directly influences my creative process, both spiritually and practically. Many of my paintings allude to transformation, and the lessons I draw from psychology and philosophy often overlap with those I learn in the studio. For me, painting becomes a practice of trusting the process, letting go, and opening space for something greater than myself.
My art suggests a narrative that grows from personal experience and observation. By transferring my own expression from design to artistic practice, I consciously transcend the rules of my studies. I experiment with form, space, and composition, where geometry meets intuitive patches and gestures, creating dynamic, multi-layered images. I create them as portals for dialogue and reflection, where the observer can discover their own questions, answers, memories, and desires.
Every encounter with a painting is different. I believe that context is everything, and the reception of art is unique, dependent on the individual history of the observer, their emotions, and their sensory experience of space. During such an encounter, one can pursue stronger and more subtle moments of expression, uncovering successive layers of meaning. Over time, a sequence of interactions emerges that gives the painting life, acquires authentic value, and changes with its viewer.
I create contemporary art, painting abstract paintings in mixed media using acrylics, oils, pastels, modeling and structural materials, and markers. I build textures and color depth to capture experiences of emotion, desire, and transformation.
